About Our Place...

 The Demolition:  In mid 2008 we pulled the place apart (back to a bare shell....) Being 20 years old, it was time for a serious makeover.

... So, we took to the apartment with all sorts of tools.  Jack hammers, crowbars, drills... We pulled apart the kitchen and the two bathrooms. Threw out all the furniture, old fridge, old dishwasher, bedding, appliances... EVERYTHING !!

This indeed is a necessary list to include so you know things like... is there is a clothes dryer for those wet beach towels?  A hair dryer and iron?  What about a microwave and conventional oven with cooking equipment so we can save some money by not eating out for every meal?  Is there a supermarket within walking distance?  ATM machines etc? 

And YES... there's a 3rd bed.  A blow up bed with a quick pump, linen and it's ready in 5 minutes ~ all included with NO EXTRA COST required. 

Here's the overview list... (basically almost everything you need is in the unit. When we go down we only take our clothes, kids boogie boards/bikes and basic food item like vegemite, jam etc and only do a quick shop at Coles around the corner when we need to ~ very easy) 

And because it's our family apartment... it's always kept *sparkling* clean.

• Stylish modern look in our (total refurbishment 2008) with new kitchen, new bathrooms, furniture, bedding, appliances, High Definition LCD TV, DVD player, leather lounges and outdoor setting.  With only 24 units in the complex it's quiet, comfortable and secure.  

• Self-contained fully furnished apartment with full kitchen, spacious lounge and dining areas, two bedrooms (including linen), two bathrooms, private balcony, laundry with washing machine and dryer with off-street secured basement parking.  

• Private In ground Pool with Heated Spa (at the back of the complex) and undercover large BBQ area.  Great for family gatherings and entertaining visiting friends.   

• Walk 50m across the Esplanade and you are on the beach (this is a big PLUS)  

• 2km of beachfront parkland with walking & bike tracks, shaded children’s playgrounds, undercover BBQ areas and agility circuit equipment (again... another big PLUS)   

• Walking distance to retail shops, restaurants, takeaways, North Burleigh Surf Club, hotel, Coles, McDonalds, Post Office and Banks.   

• 5km of walking trails through the Burleigh Heads National Park with magnificent viewing platforms overlooking the entire coastline is a wonderful way to start the day. You might also encounter the local widlife with friendly Australian Scrub Turkey's everywhere along the pathways.

• The Burleigh Surf beaches with white sand and warm blue waters are patrolled 365 days per year by Surf Lifesaving Queensland - North Burleigh Club.  

• The Gold Coast has a brilliant bus network right up and down the coast.  It's quick and easy to get around.  From the Coolangatta Airport to Burleigh and up to Pacific Fair and Surfer Paraidse you can catch a bus and get anywhere you want to go fast--even on Sundays. If you don't like to catch a bus, there are taxi's, limousines and shuttle services available.
